Budget Ketovore: Cheese Burger with Onions
This is the fastest and most delicious burger I make. You should have everything you need on hand and when in a rush and starving this hits the spot.
Will need:
For Patties:
1 lB Ground Beef, or Bison, Venison, or lamb
1 TBSP Keto Worcestershire Sauce
1/4c Minced Onion
2 tsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
½ tsp Coriander
½ tsp Ground Mustard, or 1 TBSP Dijon Mustard
2 TBSP Frying Oil for Patties (bacon fat is perfect)
Sauce:
1/2c Mayonnaise (see our Budget Ketovore Mayo recipe on Facebook)
1 TBSP Dijon Mustard (or any smooth mustard)
1 TBSP Fresh Oregano or 1 tsp Dried Oregano
Onions:
2 TBSP Butter to Fry Onions
3 Large Onions (sliced into rings)
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
4 Thick Slices of Mozzarella or Cheddar Cheese

How to make it:
- In a large bowl combine the meat, Worcestershire sauce, minced onion, spices and mustard. Form into 4 large patties and set aside.
- In a small bowl, make the sauce by combining the oregano, mustard and mayonnaise. Set aside.
- In your large frying pan, on med. heat, add butter and let melt. Add onions and salt and pepper to taste. Cook slowly until onions are soft and golden brown, about 15 min. Once cooked, remove from heat, replate and cover to keep warm.
- Now add the meat frying fat to your pan and let melt. Add patties and cook to preference. Add 1 cheese slice to each patty and let melt. Cover and turn down the heat if needed to get the cheese to melt.
- Stack your burger: Patty first, then 1-2 TBSP of the sauce and lastly a big scoop of onions. Enjoy.
