Arthritis Series: Different Kinds of Arthritis
Dear Friends,
Arthritis can be a bit confusing and sorting out what kind you are dealing with can be a mystery, because it develops differently in people and can have undetermined or multiple causes.
Below is a Quick List of the 3 possible kinds and their general causes (check back with us for future Arthritis blogs):
1. Osteoarthritis:
(missing cartilage)
-Age and use related wear and tear, which can be exasperated by an inflammatory diet.
-Gout, which is a build-up of Uric Acid in the joints (crystals that act like razor blades in your joints).
-Metabolic components such as Adipokines.
2. Autoimmune Arthritis:
(bone erosion, body attacks itself)
- Rheumatoid
- Lupis
- Psoriasis
-High Cytokines (inflammatory markers)
-Gut, Autoimmune Disease Syndrome—brain fog, joint pain, fatigue, digestive issues, rashes.
3. Diabetes
(stiff joints and tendons that can lead to injury)
-High blood sugar stiffens joints and tendons.
*In the following weeks we will be posting addition blogs in this series on our website and Facebook page. Cheers, Kim
